The Fiat 500 by Diesel price starts at 18,000 Euro and Italy will be the first to ge the limite-edition cabriolet starting from May. The automaker says they have allready sold 6,500 exemplars Fiat 500 by Diesel ans the car will be marketed worldwide.

    Press Release:

Fiat 500C by Diesel debuts in Japan

Fiat 500C by Diesel, the new cabriolet version of the model jointly created in 2008 by Fiat and Diesel, the famous clothing and lifestyle brand, will debut in Japan on 12 April. The Fiat Café in Aoyama (Tokyo) – an exclusive location, which has become a byword for sociability and Italian style – has been chosen for the prestigious event, which will be attended by representatives of the establishment, the world of culture and the press, in addition to Diesel founder Renzo Rosso and the top managers of Fiat Group Automobiles Japan. The car will then make its European debut on 15 April at the Milan Furniture Fair in front of the splendid Diesel flagship store in the renowned Piazza S. Babila.

The Fiat 500C by Diesel will be marketed worldwide - in Italy from May, with an on-road price starting from 18,000 euros. Nearly 6,500 units of the already available limited-edition saloon version have already been sold. The new cabriolet "by Diesel" confirms the extraordinary capacity of the "500 Project" to continuously evolve with the addition of new versions. This is precisely one of the secrets of the undisputed success of the Fiat 500, a genuine pop icon and expression of the concept of "massexclusivity" ("non-exclusive exclusiveness"), which a few days ago reached the target of 500,000 units produced in only 31 months after having been launched.

In detail, the 500 by Diesel is distinguished by some bold aesthetic features, starting with the exterior. Everything is exclusive for this version, the result of the creativity of two teams of designers: the aggressive 16" alloy wheels, the rear trim with imitation air intake where one of the most famous logos of Italian fashion is set, the yellow brake calipers (only on the 1.4 100 HP version) and the satin finish chrome painted details, including the mouldings which with their bosses evoke the atmosphere of the Diesel fashion world. The interiors are also highly customised, sporting a dark denim style fabric with yellow stitching, a fifth pocket with the unmistakable Diesel brand, the head of the famous "Mohican" on the gear lever knob and the special satin chrome coloured dashboard.

Just like the saloon, theFiat 500C by Diesel also combines two apparently distant worlds: fashion and motoring. In fact, they have some important concepts in common, such as talent, creativity, charm and innovation, the winning ingredients of Italian style, which is famous worldwide.

Finally, according to markets, the Fiat 500C by Diesel range comes with four Euro 5 engine versions (1.2 69 HP, 1.4 16v 100 HP, 1.3 Multijet 75 HP with DPF and 1.3 Multijet II 95 HP); manual 5 or 6 speed gearboxes (petrol engines can be fitted with a Dualogic 5 speed robotised gearbox); and three body and top colour combinations: the distinctive green with black top, the elegant black with black or red top and the original "Midnight indigo" blue with ivory top. The latest two innovations of the Fiat 500 by Diesel stand out: a second-generation 1.3 Multijet II 95 HP (Euro5) turbo diesel with Start&Stop system as standard, with emissions of just 104 g/km of CO2 and "Midnight indigo" blue, an intriguing metal-flake body colour which - with a finer paint texture and almost 3D effect - is reminiscent of the look of stone-washed fabrics.

Volvo's Belgian S60 Racing Team. It has been developed in accordance with
the BTCS Silhouette S1 regulations which put a major emphasis on
standardised features. All cars must use a tubular chassis, the same type of

Volvo S60 Racing Team. He continues: "Our main objective is to get up to
speed and to compete well in the various heats. Next season we hope to put
our own in-house developed engine in the car."

BTCS - low cost, high-performance racing

The BTCS is an endurance racing championship with six competitions on

thanks to its low-cost, high-performance combination and, not least, the
fact that the cars have considerable visual appeal. The race series is
televised in several countries and is gaining in popularity.

"We will support and follow our development in this series very closely
as several other national championships are considering similar standardised
regulations in the future," says Derek Crabb, Motorsport Director at the

    Press Release

The STARTECH Program for the New Jaguar XJ

The new XJ sedan from Jaguar enters the luxury car market with a markedly progressive design. Soon STARTECH will offer an exclusive sport program for the new XJ. The product lineup will include a dynamically styled aerodynamic-enhancement kit, custom-tailored 21-inch forged wheels with corresponding ride-height lowering, and exclusive interior customization options.

The sleek roofline of the XJ gives the car almost fastback character and it immediately sets the new Jaguar apart from the rest of the luxury sedan market. The STARTECH designers have developed a sporty yet elegant body kit that will make the new XJ even more unique.

The front of the four-door car gains even more profile with the STARTECH front element that attaches to the production bumper. Its large air ducts are an instant eye-catcher while the overall sophisticated shape of the STARTECH component reduces lift on the front axle. LED daytime running lights integrated into the air ducts optimize active safety on public roads.

The front fenders are replaced by STARTECH quarter panels whose integrated air outlets lend the sedan a more sporty appearance. They are complemented by new rocker panel trim that attaches in front of the rear wheel arches.

The rear of the XJ also received an innovative STARTECH upgrade. The new rear apron features an integrated diffuser and two integrated striking STARTECH exhaust tips that are combined with the production exhaust system.

An understated rear spoiler lip on the trunk lid creates an optimal aerodynamic balance between front and rear. It is the final piece in the STARTECH body kit for the Jaguar.

Special versions of the STARTECH Monostar J Diamond edition wheels were developed specifically to complement the STARTECH designer suit and to make full use of the available space in the wheel houses of the new Jaguar XJ. The three-piece forged wheels are mounted in size 9.5Jx21 in front and in size 11Jx21 on the rear axle. The wheels feature mirror-polished surfaces interspersed with brushed-look sections and represent a perfect combination of light weight and top quality.

STARTECH also offers a matching ride-height lowering of the XJ's adaptive suspension by some 30 millimeters.

The new British luxury car is also an excellent object for exclusive interior upgrades à la STARTECH. The interior designers have a multitude of leather and Alcantara colors on offer that the master craftsmen in the company upholstery shop transform into custom interiors at the highest level of perfection.

Another exceptional STARTECH specialty is the transfer of a truly maritime ambiance into the interior of an automobile. On the XJ that goes beyond a fully leather interior crafted from especially soft and breathable riverboat-design leather.

A new type of wood trim, assembled from hundreds of individual parts to resemble a miniature yacht veneer, is an absolute jewel. Depending on customer preferences the wood trim can feature blond ash wood with dark brown separating layers or in the style of classic Italian sport boats brown mahogany with blond separators. Customers can also choose from high-gloss polished smooth and open-pore matte surface finishes.

In addition, STARTECH also offers a wide range of select accessories such as high-gloss-polished stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated STARTECH logo and high-quality floor mats with color-coordinated leather borders.

Lawrence Tomlinson adds to growing automotive portfolio

    Ginetta F400 launch, Silverstone, UK,

Iconic British car marque Ginetta, has extended its road car proposition by acquiring Bath-based supercar manufacturer Farbio Sports Cars. Driving the potential deal is Ginetta Chairman Lawrence Tomlinson, who acquired Ginetta in 2005 and has pushed the sports car maker to new levels.

With three highly successful one-make championships and the GT winning G50 which has beaten the likes of Aston Martin, the Leeds-based manufacturer has become a major player on the global motorsport scene.

Meanwhile, Farbio, which was established in 2005 by former racing driver Chris Marsh, offers a stunning lightweight British supercar in the form of the Farbio GTS and its enhanced performance models the GTS350 and GTS400. The cars unique selling point comes in its ground-breaking carbon fibre body which is manufactured at specialist facilities at Farbio's Bath factory - and ensures that the cars are lighter than an average Ford Fiesta at just 1048 kg.

    Ginetta F400 launch, Silverstone, UK,

With the top of the range GTS400 reaching an impressive 410bhp, Farbio has produced a super quick road car with the handling of a race car. It has received phenomenal press reviews, with the Sunday Times calling the GTS400 "one of the best cars this country has ever produced". Farbio has already set up an impressive worldwide Dealer Network and the fusion of the two marques will add to the global presence of the automotive group. A rebadged Ginetta F400 was unveiled today at Silverstone by Tomlinson and Marsh

Chairman Lawrence Tomlinson said: "I have been continually impressed by Farbio - Chris Marsh and his team have established a car which incorporates complex design with obvious beauty. The acquisition by Ginetta will mean that we can further develop on the existing carbon fibre component facility which is housed at Bath whilst using Ginetta's considerable motorsport credentials and inherently strong brand identity to propel a road car to international acclaim. I am very confident that bringing Farbio under the Ginetta marque will be an incredibly positive move."

Managing Director, Chris Marsh has followed the Ginetta brand since its acquisition by Tomlinson. He added "The accomplishments that have been made by Ginetta have been fantastic. I have been following Lawrence's achievements over the past years, having been at Le Mans for his first win in 2006 and am very much looking forward to working with him and his team to expand and develop the brand. Both companies will mutually benefit from their individual qualities and strengths resulting in a strong and enhanced global position in the sports car market".

Chris Marsh will remain as Managing Director with the existing team set to expand significantly. The Farbio brand will be re-named Ginetta.

    Ginetta F400 launch, Silverstone, UK,

    About Ginetta

Ginetta is an iconic British sports car manufacturer which has been building road and race cars since 1958.

Today the Yorkshire-based company is a major player on the motorsport scene in the UK and abroad. Its own three single-make Championships, two of which support the prestigious BTCC series, are renowned for their entertaining close racing.

Multi-marque racing at GT level with the G50 and the Ginetta-Zytek's LMP1 and LMP2 cars complete the career ladder opportunities starting from 14 years old in the Ginetta Junior car.

In 2008 Ginetta Cars was awarded the title of ‘Small Business of the Year' by the Motorsport Industry Association and in the same year the Ginetta G50 was crowned Autosport's Car of the Year. In June 2009, Team LNT raced a Ginetta-Zytek GZ09S in the premier LMP1 class at Le Mans with Formula One icon Nigel Mansell competing in the same car at the Le Mans Series finale in September.

Ginetta's latest launch the G40, was unveiled to international acclaim at Autosport International in January 2010. The multi-platform road and race car will hit grids in April 2010.
