SPESIFIKASI MPV Geely

    SPESIFIKASI MPV Geely

China carmaker Geely will present the family car or MPV variant in the years ahead. Geely to make sure cars are cheaper than a million people of Toyota Avanza.

Placement of low prices of course taken Geely to its MPV's MPV market is more competitive in the homeland. Geely own new MPV will be releasing it early in 2011.

"The price will be below the price of the Toyota Avanza, in order to be competitive, the early launch in 2011," said President Director of PT Indonesia A. Geely Cars Budi Pramono the sidelines of a media test drive of the Geely MK in the Bandung, Thursday (08/05/2010).

Although the claim is still under development, but Geely Car PT Indonesia (GMI) 515 GV ensure Geely MPV will be launched in the country later this year.

Thus disclosed GMI President Director Budi Pramod while talking with Legal. According to him, currently the GMI is still waiting for the production of the GV 515 that use the right wheel. "Because in China alone is currently still use the steering wheel left," he said.

The process of change from the wheel left to right it said he had spent approximately 6-8 months. "If the process of changing from left to right is not long, but once altered it also needs a process of testing," he said.

The process of testing, he said, among others, the road test phase, the synchronization between the position of pedals, levers transmission with steering wheel that is now changing its position to the right, and also how will motorists will be familiar with a bunch of these positions.

That's why, said Budi, if in the near future in their home countries GV 515 will begin production using the steering wheel right, then no longer Affairs Panda MPV was ready to go in Indonesia. "Probably around the end of this year was," he said.

As a newcomer, Geely did not want to peg the price too expensive. "If we put a high price later on baseball even get anything, let alone the new MPV," said Budi.

MPV variant that will be sold Geely named Englon SV5. This new own car face had displayed beautifully in Beijing Auto Show last April.

Englon SV5 itself is a 7 seater MPV which carry two options ie, 1299 cc engine and 1498 cc. With his performance, look no less Englon SV5 with parbikan Japanese have long dominated this class.

"The door is a sliding passenger door, we ask that it be made so the electric sliding door, and they agreed, so this car will be more modern but with a more affordable price of the bag," said one owner of Geely dealers in Indonesia who were in Beijing Auto Show.

Toyota Avanza variants priced lowest price is Rp 130 million on the road of Jakarta. Can Geely MPV his Price below Rp 100 million? Next year he replied.Source URL: https://automotivetrendnews.blogspot.com/search/label/Geely

Beijing 2010: Geely Emgrand GE plug-in hybrid limo

    Geely Emgrand GE

Another entry that Geely has planned for its new Emgrand premium sub-brand is the GE limousine. Like many of Geely's new models, the GE has a very prominent grille but the rest of the design looks otherwise well-proportioned and attractive. With a 214-inch body sitting on a 124-inch wheelbase, the GE is a big car targeted at executives who prefer to be driven rather than get behind the wheel. The Geely Emgrand GE can be equipped with either a rear bench contoured for two passengers or a single large seat flanked by extra storage compartments.

Underneath, the GE has the same plug-in hybrid powertrain featured in the GT coupe. That means it gets a 2.4-liter inline-four that producing 160 horsepower and 165 pound-feet of torque. The electric drive consists of a pair of 27.5 kilowatt, 132 pound-foot hub-motors for all-wheel-drive capability. The GE is targeted for 2015 introduction.Source URL: https://automotivetrendnews.blogspot.com/search/label/Geely

Beijing 2010: Geely Emgrand GT plug-in hybrid coupe

    Geely Emgrand GT

The Geely Emgrand GT is another example of the automaker's apparent seriousness about being considered a top-flight player in the industry. This coupe features classic sports car proportions and aside from the overdone grille, it looks quite attractive. The GT comes from Geely's new top-level Emgrand sub-brand and boasts some impressive specs. It's reportedly a plug-in hybrid with a 2.4-liter inline-four that churns out 160 horsepower and 165 pound-feet on its own.

That output is supplemented by a pair of 27.5-kilowatt hub motors that give the GT all-wheel-drive capability. Those motors each add 132 foot-pounds of torque as well. It's not clear, however, which axle is being driven by the combustion engine and which gets the motors. The Emgrand GT is targeted for a 2014 introduction.Source URL: https://automotivetrendnews.blogspot.com/search/label/Geely

Beijing 2010: Geely Gleagle GS

    Geely Gleagle GS

The first time we saw something that could roughly be equated to a sport coupe from Geely was a few years ago at the Detroit Auto Show. That red car had some enormous panel gaps and dubious styling. My, how times change. The star of Geely's new midrange Gleagle brand (we're pretty sure it doesn't come across as oddly in Chinese as it does in English) was the GS coupe.

Similar in size to Scion Tc, the GS is powered by a 1.3-liter turbocharged inline four producing 127 horsepower. It can be paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual clutch unit. If any Chinese automaker is going to make it to the U.S., Geely seems the most likely and its purchase of Volvo could even give it access to a sales network.Source URL: https://automotivetrendnews.blogspot.com/search/label/Geely

Beijing 2010: Geely's London Taxi-aping Englon TXN

    Englon TXN

As promised, Geely brought its Englon TXN to this year's Beijing Motor Show. In the flesh, the intended successor to London's black cab throne looks more than capable of hauling drunken tourists from place to place. The car appears to have stuck pretty close to the renderings we saw earlier this month, though we have to say the exterior looks quite a bit better under the show lights than it did photoshopped among England's various landmarks.

The company also displayed its TX4 – a more spacious version also built just for taxi duty. Both cars are motivated by either a 2.4-liter gasoline engine mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox or a 2.5-liter diesel powerplant that can be had with a five-speed manual transmission. So far Geely hasn't released any power numbers.

We do know that the cars will command a price tag that should fall in the $30,500 range at current exchange rates – not exactly cheap by anyone's standards. Will British taxi companies will be willing to give up their old rides for these new, Chinese-built examples? Hard telling, but at least they look the part.Source URL: https://automotivetrendnews.blogspot.com/search/label/Geely

Geely set to reveal modified Rolls-Royce aping limousine in Beijing

    Geely GE Limousine

Never underestimate the power of a nose job. After getting in hot water with Rolls-Royce for the design of its GE limousine, Geely Automobile has reworked the majority of the car into what you see above. The Chinese automaker originally unveiled the GE at the 2009 Shanghai Motor Show, and the car looked like it had raided the Spirit of Ecstasy's wardrobe before hitting the stage. The engineers at Rolls-Royce were not amused, and threatened legal action unless the car underwent serious alterations.

Presumably in response to the Rolls dust-up, Geely has fitted the GE Limousine with an all-new nose, complete with a massive baleen grille and grinning headlights. The interior has also gone under the knife, and as a result, you'll no longer find a single throne in the rear. The company has opted for a much more traditional two-bucket design out back.

Expect to see the reworked GE at this year's Beijing Auto Show, along with a total of 58 other vehicles(!) from the company's three brands.

Geely reportedly denies copying Rolls-Royce

    Geely GE
    Geely GE

With gloved white fingers pointing in their direction, Geely Automobile is in full denial of British accusations. The independent Chinese automaker, which rolled out its luxurious GE model bearing more than slight resemblance to the Rolls-Royce Phantom at the Shanghai Motor Show, seems rather unconcerned. "As it were, they are actually different ... people may feel they are the same at the first glance, but the details are certainly different," Geely spokeswoman Zhang Xiaoshu told AFP.

Keep telling that to the good blokes at Rolls-Royce who are considering legal action against Geely. To most observers in the industry, the production-bound Chinese GE concept clearly borrows the Rolls signature grill, down-sloping rear deck, and the Flying Lady mascot. Unlike the Phantom, the Chinese variant is set to hit the market at a sliver of the cost of the exclusive Rolls. While imitation is often considered the most sincere form of flattery, the British evidently aren't cracking so much as a smile.

Geely GE Limo

    Geely GE Limo

Asian consumers loves them some baroque styling. How else to explain the popularity of gaudy, over-the-top couture in the continent's major city centers? Indeed, how else to explain the existence of cars like the Mitsuoka Galue S50 and Galue 204? Proving that the love affair is still very much still alive is this, the Geely Excellence (GE) Limousine.

Despite the obvious aping of traditional Rolls-Royce styling cues (square-rigged waterfall grille, Spirit of Imitation Ecstasy hood ornament, wool carpets, etc.) there is some innovation here, in the form of the rear seat "throne," a kingly perch that forms the literal centerpoint of the car's unorthodox 1+2 seating arrangement.

In any case, the 17.5-foot Goliath is widely expected to be the first offering from Geely's new sub-brand, YingLun, or ENGLON (a melding of "England" and "London), but for the moment, the Chinese automaker is stopping short of confirming production.

Geely GT returns as Tiger, complete with interior and working doors!

    Geely GT
    Geely GT

The Geely GT Concept stole the show at last year's Beijing Auto Show, mostly because it stood out as one of the few Chinese designs that wasn't a Xerox copy of something sold elsewhere in the world. Geely designers walked out on a limb with their pens and created a truly unique shape with interesting details, and regardless what you think of the result, at the very least it drew praise for being an original Chinese design.

As we reported earlier, Geely has brought the GT Concept back for this year's Shanghai Auto Show, this time with a complete working interior and butterfly doors (the original was just a shell). This suggests that the car is slowly marching towards production as the Chinese automaker works out engineering issues and again judges the reaction it receives at this year's show. Should the GT reach Chinese showrooms, it will likely be called the Tiger (its current name actually stands for "Geely Tiger"). The question now is whether or not Geely will give its unique coupe some claws.

Geely CE Concept

    Geely CE

Via Autoblog Chinese, the parade of Beijing-bound debuts continues. Today we've got another one from Geely, which seems to be working to establish itself as a style leader in a sea of Chinese cars, the looks of which range from the vanilla to the bizarre. The renderings you see here show the Geely CE concept, a compact 5-door hatch that easily has the looks to appeal to shoppers outside of Geely's home market. If Geeley is able to bring this car to production and make it safe enough to meet Western crash test standards (something we have yet to see on anything remotely resembling a consistent basis from the Chinese manufacturers), it is going to make a lot of noise, particularly in Europe where a low-priced, stylish, compact hatch like this would sell like french fries at McDonalds. From what we've seen so far, Geely's 18-car Beijing parade is setting itself up to be a stylistic quantum leap over some of its ridiculous past concepts and mundane current offeringsSource URL: https://automotivetrendnews.blogspot.com/search/label/Geely
