Big Daddy Don Garlits Swamp Rat special edition 1995 Dodge Truck, only 150 made, only 15 on the west coast, here's the best of them, only 36k miles

This is number 128 of 150, they were mostly ordinary trucks that went to Mark 3 that put in upgraded interior, and the decals. All of the Garlits specials got the swamp rat waving the flag on the quarter panel, but few or no others got the flames on the front fenders. They came with the 360 Magnum, and a 4 barrel. 220 Hp, Mike wanted more, and upgraded with headers, and nitrous.
This is number 128 of the 150, and yup, it's for sale, because Mike is getting a Cadillac truck with the Corvette engine.
This is the 3rd I've found in San Diego, the others didn't have the flames of course. http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2010/07/swamp-rat-edition-of-dodge-ram-well.html

The 2013MY Dodge Viper

With sales of the previous generation steadily declining over the years (only 392 were sold in 2010, when production ceased), a totally redesigned Viper could be just what the doctor ordered for Dodge.

As previously reported, the new model won’t be based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, as some sources suggested, while Gilles also clarified that it’s not going to have Ferrari powerplants either. The Dodge boss was also confident regarding the cost-effectiveness of the Viper, stating that it will be profitable.

2011 Dodge Avenger

Dodge’s midsize Avenger doesn’t get the same amount of recognition as its larger Charger brother, and in some respects has become a forgotten car in the Dodge stable. But the Mopar boys are hoping to change that with an updated 2011 Dodge Avenger.
Following in the footsteps of the its recently revealed Chrysler 200 sibling, the 2011 Avenger is a stopgap to freshen things up until an all-new, Fiat-based model arrives in a few years’ time.
You’ll notice the drab black, gray, and silver Avenger interior of old has left the building. As you step into the cockpit you’re greeted by the colorful gauge cluster and updated steering wheel. Dodge ordered new cloth and leather material for the seats, which are now appointed with more cushioning and retuned base springs. Soft-touch armrests envelop the innards, and 45 new or upgraded sound-dampening treatments have been installed to help quiet the ride.
Continuing the parade of interior changes, the three-spoke steering wheel is fitted with more buttons to control the sound system, cruise control, and more. The vents have been redesigned for aesthetic and functional purposes, and two-tone color schemes may be ordered if desired. Further features include ambient lighting, voice command, a USB port, navigation, Bluetooth, and a hard drive with Gracenote music identification.

2011-2012 The Dodge Grand Caravan

What the Grand Caravan R/T boils down to is one thing: looks. Those "looks" go beyond the shared refreshed grill, fog lamps, curved wheel wells and body paint found in other trim levels of the Dodge Grand Caravan. Larger sport wheels and a body kit treatment to the nose are among the distinguishing exterior features. Inside, its black and grey interior gets some eye candy stitching across the seats and on the steering wheel. All editions of the Dodge get the same retuned suspension. Combined, Dodge hopes that these changes will get men to say "I want one" when most likely they'll be having to buy one for the family anyway.

Building a man van goes with the territory whereby Chrysler has separated its Dodge vehicles from its Ram trucks into two distinct brands. "Ram tough" describes the trucks while Dodge is now the performance division for the automaker. That means every model sold must have macho appeal from the compact Caliber on up.

Fastest factory quarter miler ever, the Super Stock Dodge Dart. Here is one sponsored by Mr Norm

    50 were built http://www.ehow.com/list_7383614_1968-dodge-dart-specs.html

Although racers like Dick Landy and Don Garlits had modified Darts in the mid-60s to run in the NHRA Funny Car class using the 426 Hemi, Super Stock class racing of the Dart was almost non-existent due to the small V-8s available. In 1968, Dodge contracted Hurst Performance to build a limited number of 440 in³ V8-wedge and 426 Hemi-powered Darts to compete in the SS/B class as the LO23 Hurst Hemi Dart.

Dart body shells were shipped to Hurst who would install a magnesium cross ram-inducted 426 Hemi into the engine bay, facilitated by sledge hammer hits to the fender wells to make room for the Hemi's installation. The rear wheel well arches were also modified in the same manner the shock towers were modified up front. Fiberglass nose, fenders and hood, lightened bumpers, no side view mirrors, radio and heater delete, no soundproofing in the floor and firewall, no back seat, a trunk-mounted battery, acid dipped doors, belt straps for window cranks, Lexan windows, and Dodge A100 van seats mounted on drilled seat rails for decreased weight.

When shipped to a dealership, a Hemi Dart had a disclaimer on the window stating "Warning: this Super Stock vehicle is to be shipped on the bottom level only of all rail and truck transportation"; this was to ensure that the Hemi's low-hanging oil pan would not get damaged and keep the fiberglass nose from being damaged on any low-hanging obstacles.

These cars would successfully cover the quarter mile with elapsed times in the ten second range. According to Chrysler staff engineer Larry Shepard, the majority of these Darts were Hemi powered, all though a small pilot run of fifty 440-powered Darts were also built in 1968, in 1969, over 600 were built with thte 440

Would you believe one of these was found with only 33 miles on it? Well, maybe one was, but the story was that one of these was raced once, put in the garage. Guy passed away and his kids inherited a 12.5:1 dual quad race hemi with open headers. Nice car to inherit huh?! Well it didn't happen, someone was pulling the wool on MoparMuscle and told them a tall tale. No idea why, but they wrote it up anyway http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/featuredvehicles/mopp_0208_1968_dodge_dart_hemi_super_stock/index.htmlSource URL: https://automotivetrendnews.blogspot.com/search/label/Dodge

SEMA 2010: Dodge Charger Redline Concept

Among Chrysler's homage to the storied past at this year's SEMA Show is this 2011 Dodge Charger Redline Concept – the Charger that Mopar Underground would build if it could. The crimson four-door sits an inch lower to the ground over 22-inch Super Alloy wheels, all the better to keep your eyes on the black roof. Other trim pieces include the black spoilers fore and aft, tinted head- and taillights and a black side scoop to take you back to the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T.

Under the aluminum hood is a 5.7-liter Hemi wearing Mopar headers, as well as a cold-air intake and exhaust. Come shimmy and shake time, things are kept in better check by a Mopar strut tower brace. A black and red interior fills out the theme, aluminum bezels and Katzkin leather keeping it swish and prototype paddle shifters keep it truly conceptual.Source URL: https://automotivetrendnews.blogspot.com/search/label/Dodge

SEMA 2010: Dodge Challenger SRT8 392

One of the 1,492 Challenger SRT8 392s that Dodge says it's going to build next year is menacing the corner of the Mopar booth at this year's SEMA show. With a new 6.4-liter V8 offering 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque under the hood, this muscle machine appears ready to tame the road.

The SRT8 392 should prove to perform significantly better than previous Challengers thanks to quicker steering, revised suspension settings, beefier shocks and added downforce. The wheels are also a treat. Plus, you'll get better gas mileage than in the 2010 Challenger – that is, if you manage to scoop one up before everyone else.Source URL: https://automotivetrendnews.blogspot.com/search/label/Dodge
